Gm Layoffs 2024 October. General motors has announced plans to lay off approximately 1,000 employees worldwide as part of a plan to reduce fixed costs by $2 billion by the end of 2024. Gm spokesman kevin kelly confirmed the cuts and sent this statement to the detroit free press:

In august, gm laid off more than 1,000 workers in its software department as it worked to streamline the team. Gm is trimming its software teams globally by more than 1,000, possibly up to 1,500.
